Saint Valentine of Rome was a defender of love bishop, who secretly married couples in love in times when the Roman government prohibited marriages between young couples so that men would enlist to be soldiers and go to war to die with no families to long for. For these acts he was martyred by the emperor. Literally, he died for love. Know its history!
