Elvis Presley was the king of rock and roll, but music celebrating the King of Kings was most dear to him. Gospel music was a huge influence on Elvis in his formative years, and he always had a Gospel quartet around him. OnThe Gospel Side of Elvis, two of his favorite quartets have gathered to record the Gospel songs he loved most.
The Imperials began recording with Elvis in the late 60's and were a part of his famous Las Vegas shows. The Stamps Quartet began touring with Elvis in 1972 and were an integral part of his shows until his death in 1977. to maintaining their demanding Gospel concert schedules.
This touching tribute includes "How Great Thou Art", "Swing Low Sweet Chariot", "Where Could I Go", "Peace In The Valley", and more.
